Last day of Sasquatch Music Festival
Today is the last day. Bands I’m looking forward to:
She & Him
The New Pornographers
Band of Horses
Quasi
Passion Pit
I’ll be posting updates and photos throughout the day. Time to get the music started.
Tegan and Sara just wrapped up their set on the main stage. It was great to see them really enjoy playing live without some of the cynicism that is evident in some more accomplished band. They were very appreciative of the Sasquatch crowd and even mentioned that their mother accompanied them. They each sang throughout all the songs even when it wasn’t their turn to be on the mic. Gray skies and spotty Wifi at Sasquatch
It looks like the sun has permanently tucked itself behind clouds. At least it isn’t scorching hot or raining. And of course the wifi made available to the media is spotty, at best. Don’t fret, Verizon to the rescue. I’m connected currently our Verizon USB wireless card. Still very slow to upload videos so I may wait to upload video later tonight. Just saw They Might Be Giants...
Midlake soundcheck
Sitting in the grass in front of the main stage as Midlake does their soundcheck. The weather is cloudy with a cool breeze. Temperature is in the high 60s.

Keep track at Sasquatch
If you are going to Sasquatch and have an iPhone or an Android phone, make sure you download the Sasquatch app. It allows you to keep track of the music schedule, you can create your own schedule of favorites, and navigate your way around with a map of the festival grounds.
Get the iPhone app
Get the Android app - Search the Android Marketplace for “Sasquatch.”

Ozomatli, another L.A. band, had the crowd in a frenzy with their mix of latin rhythms, hip-hop beats and funk.
Check out interviews, photos and videos from Saturday at the Sasquatch Music Festival: http://ubsasquatchfest.tumblr.com/
My interview with them unfortunately fell through but they were great live any way. This L.A. band has become a recent favorite of mine.
Beirut on the main stage just before I interviewed 4 of the members. Turns out the bassist was born in Walla Walla and still has family in Pendleton, Ore.
M.I.A on the main stage after she invited the crowd to join her on stage. About 100 or so made on stage.
Quick clip of the Breeders playing on the Wookie Stage at the same time Modest Mouse was playing on the main stage. The Deal twins were loose nonetheless and seemed to be having fun playing in front of a very receptive and sizeable crowd.
